Wayne K. Pinnau, age 80, of Broadview. Beloved husband of RuthAnn Pinnau, nee McCutcheon of 56 years; devoted father of Glenn (Joy) Pinnau and Dawn (Brad) Hanen; doting grandfather of Jessica Zuba, Justin Hanen and Kyle Hanen; brother of the late Gertrude (the late Russel) Nothnagel, and the late Grace (the late Leonard) Thielsen; brother-in-law to Michael (Nancy) McCutcheon and loving uncle to Michelle (David) Petersen and Cassie Petersen and Gary McCutcheon, Mike McCutcheon and Jon McCutcheon; loving uncle to James (Barbara) Nothnagel, Carrie (Will) Tucker, and Michael (Kathy) Nothnagel and Lucy Nothnagel. Wayne was employed with Panasonic until the time of retirement. Wayne was a member of the Illinois National Guard, active in Boy Scouts and an avid auto racing fan. Grandpa "Choo Choo" had a great love of Lionel trains and enjoyed sharing his layout with many family and friends. Visitation will be held Saturday, September 30, 2017 from 9 A.M. to time of Service 11 A.M. at Hitzeman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 9445 W. 31st Street, Brookfield, IL 60513. Interment Private. Memorials appreciated to one of Wayne's favorite places in Naples FL, Audubon Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary, to help rebuild after Hurricane Irma.
