Evelyn Schmidt, nee Schmidt, age 85, life time Brookfield resident. Graduate of Gross School and Riverside – Brookfield High School Class of 1948. Beloved mother of Carol (James Woznicki) Mackowiak, nee Schindalga; fond sister of the late Dorothy Kristmann; aunt of Mary Kristmann and Kurt (Deborah) Kristmann. Visitation Thursday, March 31, 2016, 3 P.M. to Time of Service 8 P.M. at Hitzeman Funeral Home Ltd. 9445 West 31st Street, Brookfield, IL 60513. Interment Private. Brookfield Library volunteer for over 20 years, member of the Zoo and Zoo parent for many years, Hand knitted many blankets for Project Linus.
