Evelyn Schmidt, nee Schmidt

Evelyn will hold up the standard for a good neighbor the rest of my life. For about my first 6 years of life living in Brookfield, she served as one of my first stops for trick or treating, the limit of riding my 3 wheel bike to her driveway, and up it and back, and a friendly face working in her back yard, always with a wave. When we moved to La Grange Park, she invited me over to bake near christmas time, always bought girl scout cookies and always was cheering for the same team as me, THE CUBS. Such a wonderful woman and neighbor, she shall be missed dearly.

Evelyn will be remembered for her dedication to her daughter, her home, and her community. When I think of Evelyn, I recall her as friendly, tenacious, loyal, and caring. I enjoyed our friendship and the time we spent together. Harriet Heyda
