Obituary

Yvonne Terese Fielmann, nee Frisch, age 89, of Riverside, IL. Beloved wife of Ronald O. Fielmann; loving mother of Ronald (Katie) Fielmann and Robert Fielmann; grandmother of Meghan (Tom) Anselmo, Colleen (Robert) Quilico, Erin (Ryan) Weinerth and Shannon Fielmann; great grandmother of Thomas, Aiden, Abigail, Brooks, and Declan; sister of Frank (Phyllis) Frisch, Charlene (the Late Eugene) Byrne and the late Bruce (the late Patricia) Frisch; aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Born and raised with a spirit of curiosity and joy, Yvonne cultivated a life filled with passion, purpose, and love. From her early days on the softball field to her career as a physical education teacher to her business management style, she inspired others through her energy and example. A proud graduate of Harrison High School and Northern Illinois University, she forged friendships during those years that would remain lifelong bonds.

An avid reader with an insatiable appetite for books, Yvonne was rarely seen without a novel in hand—or a New York Times crossword puzzle, which she tackled with the same determination and wit that she brought to every challenge. Her competitive side came alive on the golf course, where she found joy in the game and camaraderie in every round.  She was often found on the golf courses of Naples, Florida’s Rookery and Hammock Bay or “up north” at the Riverside Golf Club.

Yvonne was a proud and loyal Chicago Cubs fan, she celebrated the highs and endured the lows with fierce loyalty, always believing in the diehard Cubs’ fan mantra; “Wait till next year”.

A devoted grandmother, she poured love, wisdom, and warmth into every moment with her granddaughters. Her family was the center of her world, and she cherished spending time with Meghan, Colleen, Erin, and Shannon, especially during spring breaks on Marco Island.

Above all, Yvonne shared a once-in-a-lifetime love story with her high school sweetheart, Ron. Together they built a life of enduring partnership, laughter, and unwavering devotion—a beautiful example of soul mates united for a lifetime.

Yvonne’s legacy of love, strength, and compassion will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
