Condolences

Vi was my babysitter when I was child back in the 1970s and 80s. She was like a 2nd mother to me during that time. We took many trips to the zoo, and I remember her love for the Cubs very well. She attended my college graduation, and she even babysat my daughter once when i was in a pinch back in 2001. While I am sad to learn of her loss, I am happy that she lived a long wonderful life. My condolences to the Palis family. She was a wonderful person.

So so sorry to hear of VI’s passing away. I just loved your mom, we really hit it off at the monthly ladies club breakfasts. I was also next to you Marie for her “woman of the year” presentation and gave her a the woman of the year coffee cup. I will truly miss her as you all will. It was so nice to know her for many years.

We are so terribly sorry to hear of Vi’s passing. My Mom was a volunteer with Vi at the zoo for many years. We attended many of the volunteer dinners and picnics etc and always sat at table with her. She was a lovely most enjoyable woman and will be surely be missed by all who were lucky enough to know her.

Dear Palis Family, On behalf of my family, please accept our deepest sympathies on the loss of Vi. She was a very dear friend of our mother, Carolyn. My mother used to buy Cubs tickets from her back in the day. So happy that she got to see the dream come true for the Cubs (sadly, our mom missed it). Will have many memories of her at church for many CWC functions. May God be with you during this difficult time.

On behalf of Jeroma Zahour, we want to express our sincere condolences to VI’s family. I met Vi at the Brookfield Zoo Breakfast; she was an avid Cubs fan and spoke of her trip to watch the Cubs. She was a special friend of Val Damon’s—-“Sisters come from the same garden but they are different plants” May you be comforted to know how dearly loved Viola M. Hrabe Palis is and was! Andrea (Jeroma Zahour’s family)
