Dear Anna, Adelina, C.J., A.J, Jenna, and other family members, Words are not adequate at a time like this... "Pete", as we knew him was such a warm, kind, and generous person to our daughter and her family from the time they joined the neighborhood. My husband and I also experienced his hospitality whenever we came for a visit. In fact Pete, and you, Anna made us sorry we didn't live in North Riverside. I will never forget all the times he came across the street bearing delicious food or some welcome gardening advice. He was a third Grandfather for Helena and Rosie. I will always remember him with a smile on my face. Spring, summer and fall evenings will forever bring the memory of Pete and Anna, together on their front porch. Thank you for all the joy you brought to our lives, Pete and Anna. Thank you for showing us the meaning of "neighbors".

Pete was always gracious and funny and brave. He would bring pizza and other dishes for us out of nowhere. He gave us planting tips. He made the entire street happy and safe. I will miss him immensely.
