I am just one of many softball players in LaGrange Park (one of the old lady teams) that enjoyed Mel behind the plate! Thanks for all the years of consistently being there! Prayers to the family and friends!

Very sorry to hear of Mel's passing. I first met Mel when I volunteered for the BMW Golf Championship at Cog Hill, and Mel was in charge of the Shot-Link group. I volunteered numerous times after that, the final time being at Medinah in 2019, which was Mel's final BMW tournament. I found Mel to be a very warm and gracious man who was well-respected by the many volunteers who worked with him through the years. I know that he loved the game of golf, and will be sorely missed by the BMW tournament family, and particularly the Shot-Link group. Thanks for everything, Mel.
