Cliff and the Schirmer family, Although I did not know your father, after reading about him and the messages it's easy to see he loved his family and country. My sincere sympathy to you all.

So sorry to hear about Ernie. I cannot even begin to think how many nights I spent camping with him. I have not forgotten those good times and never will. Wish we could have kept the club going forever, just wasn't meant to be. I wish you all the best.

Cliff, I am so very sorry to hear of your loss. We had no idea your dad was so ill. At every birthday or grad party we attended he seemed like such a nice soft spoken gentleman. Please accept our condolences to the whole Shirmer family for this sad loss. May perpetual light shine upon him. Love, Kelly Larry and the Twins

Tons of great memories with the Schirmers as neighbors. Never forget meeting Ernie for the first time when John was building our garage and he came and started helping without even knowing our name. Also our fun days of doing cables. He was quite the guy. Sorry for your loss as a family! Will keep you in our thoughts and prayers during the following days.
