Condolences
"Go to Colleen. You can trust her. And, you're going to like her. She's nice." Over the decades, I have no idea of how many times I said that. Now when asked, for a jeweler, I will say good luck, you're on your own. We are all replaceable but, with Colleen, it will not be easy.

I am so deeply saddened to see. Colleen was someone who cared about everybody who came to know her. She was a wonderful lady and always had time to listen to everything I would tell her, whether it was important or trivial. I will always remember her lovely smile and her ability to get me to laugh, even in the saddest of times. She will be sorely missed! Sending my heartfelt sympathies to her husband and her family. Colleen, like myself was a huge Cubs Fan! Luckily we shared great memories of 2016! RIP, Colleen! Nobody will ever replace you!

We are saddened to hear about Colleen’s passing. She was always so helpful and friendly to us at the jewelry store and always asked us about the Sasuta family, Nick and Mary. We recently last saw her at our Fathers wake, Nick Sasuta in February. Your family is in our prayers

Colleen was so very nice, warm, and welcoming when we went to the jewelry sore. So very helpful when my son was 3 he had a Thomas the Tank Engine watch it needed a new battery. We walked over to the store and she replaced it for us and wouldn't take any money for the battery. I will miss seeing her and talking with her.She will be missed by so many. Our sincere sympathy to the family. Cynthia

I have known Colleen thru my dear friend Nancy Silva and she in turn became a dear friend. I was in her store on Saturday and as usual smiling, joyful and always a pleasure to spend time with. Her bright light has dimmed on earth but continues in our memories. My thoughts and prayers to her family and praying they know the peace that passes all human understanding.

COLLEEN <3 always and eternally forever, will bring a warmth to our hearts in just hearing her name or thinking of her ~ as her twinkly smile and nature instantly had that power to those around her. Her giggle and friendship is already deeply missed as I've been trying to wrap my mind around her passing. Proud to be amongst the Blessed friendships this beautiful soul was to so many <3 a gem to us all! With our prayers and condolences to her family and adoring husband Jim, for the sudden loss.

Condolences to Colleen’s family and friends, and to all the lives she touched through her business. Colleen was a major part of my Brookfield years. She watched my son grow up, as I brought him into the store from the time he was a baby until he was a young man, looking for a gift for me. She always found the perfect gift that matched his budget. I’ll never forget her kindness, her wisdom, and how much I enjoyed our chats, which extended long beyond my picking up whatever I had dropped off for repair, or longer than stopping by the shop. Before I moved, she reset my mom’s engagement ring for me and we both were in awe of it when I picked it up. Colleen was one of the people I wished I could pack up with me when I moved out of state. I am so sad hearing this news. She really was a treasure and such a kind soul.

Offering deepest Condolences to Jim and the Luckey Family. Brookfield Jewelers was the one place I could come to everytime I returned home to see my friend Colleen, sip something, laugh and catch up! This news makes my heart ache....I tried finding her via FB just a month+ ago. She was always a sweetheart and so generous. I look at my jewelry and think of all the gifts bought since IHM days. Had so hoped to have seen her at our 40 Class Reunion. Praying for the repose of her soul. Girlfriend...Dang!!

I am so sadden by the loss of one of my childhood friends that I consider a sister to me. My memories of our grade school sleep overs, hanging out playing games, and my welcome into your family excursions, will always be embedded in my mind. As we grew older, and busier with life, you always were there at the jewelry store where I could stop by for a visit and catch up . A laugh about old times, a kind and lending ear, and a comforting feeling about being around family.I will miss you my sister. I'm sorry I could not be there for you when you needed someone. My heart felt sympathy to your family. A loving, intelligent, soft spoken women, who cared about everyone. You will truly be missed. Thank you for blessing my life with your friendship.XOXO

Regardless of who they were, it's most often written of persons upon their passing,as to how wonderful they were. Colleen was the exception, as she truly was that most wonderful person in life. The kindest most fun loving soul I knew. Seemed like we didn't skip a beat, between my annual July visits into Brookfield. Rest easy my friend. I Love & shall miss you very much.

One of the finest “hearts” in our industry. A passionate professional who understood the business and the imperative importance of customer care. The Jewelry Industry of the Chicago Suburbs has lost a veteran and iis therefore diminished by her void! Our heartfelt condolences to her friends and grieving family, may memories of her brilliant smile and easy laugh bring you comfort in the days ahead. The crew at Linnea Jewelers
