Retiree of US postal service, member of local union branch 11 Loop Station.

Visitation Monday, April 5, 2021 from 9:00 A.M. until time of
Service 11 :00 A.M. at Hitzeman Funeral Home, Ltd., 9445 West 31st Street, Brookfield, IL 60513.

Due to Covid Regulations a maximum of 50 people are allowed in the funeral home at a time. Face coverings are required, the lounge facilities are closed, food or beverages are not allowed at this time. All are asked to pay their respects/condolences to Jill and her family and be cognitive of others waiting to do the same.

Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside Illinois.

    What can be said? John and I became close friends in 1955. He is like a brother to me and was the Best Man at my wedding. Because of distance we have only seen him twice in the last 50 years, but he is still the brother I never had. Deepest regrets to Jill and Bobbie and Eddie and their families.

    I’m so very sorry to hear this news. John gave me my first alcoholic beverage at our cousin Kevin’s wedding! A Highball!! I was a senior in High School. I loved the drink too. I have many fond memories of my grandpa Donahue bringing me over to his moms house and John always being nice to me. Have that drink ready when I see you next cuz.     My father Al, who passed away in May 2021, was good friends with John for many years at the Post Office. I am very sorry to hear of John’s passing which I saw in the June issue of “The Postal Record”. My condolences to family and friends.
