Beloved husband of 68 years to the late MaryAnne Vavra, nee Bilek; fond father of Thomas Vavra, Patricia (Brian) Duffy, Barbara (Remo) Fantozzi and Debra (Robert) Wysocki; dear grandfather “Pa” of Brian (Caitlin) Wysocki, Brad (Lindsay) Wysocki and Bree Wysocki; brother of Lorraine (Allen) Brown; brother-in-law of the late Norman (Agnes) Bilek and Eleanor (the late George) Balla; uncle of many nieces and nephews. Visitation Sunday, September 25, 2016, 4 P.M. to 8 P.M. and Monday, September 26, 2016, 9 A.M. to 9:30 A.M. at Hitzeman Funeral Home, Ltd., 9445 West 31st Street, Brookfield, IL.60513. Coulter, Jr. American Legion Post 1941, VFW Post 10778 of Western Springs, key member and Usher at St. Louise de Marillac Church, the Holy Name Society and St. Vincent DePaul Society. Little League Baseball coach, volunteer at Hines VA Hospital, Meals on Wheels, Honor Flight Chicago, Misericordia, Poppy Days and an Election Official.
