Ralph was a lover of dancing, video production, classic cars, and music. The Illinois native was raised in the western suburbs of Chicago and enjoyed being part of Boy Scouts for a majority of his childhood. After graduating high school and completing technical school, Ralph began his career in “jack-of-all-trades” as some would say. Ralph was eager to learn and had many passions. He worked in a variety of fields including, but not limited to, computer coding, automotive customization, and video production.

Ralph met Susan DeLuca, nee Lundy in 1990 while filming her cousin’s wedding. In true Ralph fashion, he asked Susan to dance. They married a year later and moved to Hinsdale. Two years later, they welcomed their only child, Lindsey Anne, who instantly had Ralph wrapped around her finger.

Fond memories for Ralph, Susan, and Lindsey include family vacations, endless dancing, and sushi dinners to celebrate special occasions.

Ralph is survived by his beloved wife Susan DeLuca, nee Lundy; daughter Lindsey DeLuca;  siblings JoAnna (Ken) Ruggles, Julie (Cody) Eisenbraun, Frank DeLuca; several nieces and nephews; loving parents Ralph J. DeLuca, Sr. and Isa DeLuca, nee Romanelli.

He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, uncles, and cousins.

  4. Deborah Rene Westwood condolence:

Ralph will always be in my Heart! He saved me @ the darkest point of my life. He was there as a rock, a mentor, a shoulder to cry on, a spiritual guide and even a drill Sargeant when I was too weak & felt like the darkness was going to swallow me up. He never gave up on me & helped me realize it was too toxic for me. So in 2010 I put everything I owned that didn’t fit into my car into a storage unit & left Nebraska. Then in 2017 got my own place in STL Missouri! Thank you for being in my life and bringing GOD into my life! Bye Buddy ❤ Rene

I am sorry to hear about Ralph. I remember him well. As a friend of my fathers back in the 1970s. He was in to auto body work, and I remember he was selling properties at Woodhaven Lakes, as he dragged me along once. I think I was about 15 back then. I always liked Ralph. I was just looking up people this morning and ran across this obituary. Again, I am so sorry for your loss.
