Obituary


Patricia A. Alonzi, nee Conte, formerly Horn; age 85, of Lyons. Passed peacefully at her daughter Tricia’s home in Homer Glen due to her ongoing medical conditions. Beloved wife of the late Michael L. Alonzi. Loving mother of Deborah Horn, Edwin (Michelle, nee Milka) Horn Jr., Patricia, nee Horn (William, Sr.) Nixon; grandmother of William Nixon, Jr., Ashley Nixon, Allison Nixon, Christopher Nixon, Jessica Jarosz, Justin Jarosz, Jeffery (Ylse, nee Bear) Jarosz; great grandmother of Nathen VanDeveer, Tabitha Nixon, Beckham Simonis and Julia Jarosz ; sister of MaryLynn (David) Spicer, Gina Feagler and the late Lawrence Conte; aunt and great aunt of many.

While raising a family, Pat’s dedication was not only to family but community. Pat was one of the first woman police “Radio Operator” dispatchers and worked for the Lyons Police Department for 13 years. Owner for 18 years of Alonzi’s Restaurant, Brookfield and most recently presided as Trustee for the Village of Lyons for 12 years.

A Chapel Service will be held on Friday, July 21, 2023 at 11 A.M. at Queen of Heaven Cemetery Committal Chapel, 1400 S Wolf Rd, Hillside, IL 60162.

Entombment Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Christ the King Mausoleum.
