Richard Bruce Breckinridge

I had no idea Rich had passed. This is such sad news. I used to climb Rich's tower and do some antenna work, but we became fast friends. We both had towers and decent antennas, but he was always proud of "Henry," the massive amplifier that would always steamroll me as we sought after rare countries around the world. I'm so sorry for your family's loss. Rich will be dearly missed. Please take comfort in the Bible's promise for the future, found at Revelation 21:3,4. There it speaks of a time when God will bring an end to tears, suffering, and even death. I hope this helps bring some comfort in this time of sorrow.

My condolences go out to Rich's family. I knew Breck while working for LaGrange Park Department of Public Works. He was a good Policeman and served the Village and the town with honor. It was an honor to have known him. RIP

What can I say, I loved Rich like a brother. I will miss him deeply. He was a buy the book guy and that was fine by me. I used to say things to get under his skin just so I could see him smirk or even smile or laugh. Rich was like a compass to me. I will miss him. God bless and keep you my friend.

The members of The American Legion Post 1941 in La Grange wish to offer our condolences to Rich's family. Rich's name dates and branch of service will be engraved on a plaque added to the wall of heroes in the lobby of our Post Home. Thanks for your service Richard; you will be missed by your veteran brothers and sisters.

Our condolences to all of Richard's family and all of his other friends. I was a classmate of his throughout high school, and also served in the Army while he was in the Air Force. My wife, Judith, grew up in Brookfield. Rest in peace, sir.

I knew Rich from Tavern on LaGrange, we had years of good conversation and laughs. This comes as huge shock to me as I consider Rich to be a loyal, stand up man who was always willing to offer up a hand when needed, and most of all a very good friend!!! You will be missed!

I knew Rich through Civil Air Patrol and Amateur Radio. He was a fine man and will surely be missed. Memory Eternal!
