Condolences
Joanne I recently heard of the passing of John. Kathy and I are so very sorry and send our sympathies to you, Zach, Samantha, Mike, Pat, and Rich. John was always the "cool" kid. His sweet kindness and helpful spirit made our lives at Cleveland Ave better knowing that John would come when we (Lee) needed his loving help.

So sorry to hear about John. He was a great guy with a big smile and a warm laugh. It always made me happy to see him when I was visiting Chicago. He will be missed by me and I'm sure many others.

Dear Joanne, Zack, Samantha, grandchildren of and brothers Mike, Pat and Rich. So sorry to learn of the sudden loss of your rock and good friend John. He was a classic gentleman and the world has lost a good person. I'll remember him plowing our driveway, roofing our garage and driving around in his blue Pontiac with the music on. Plus, always with a smile on to help through tough times and take the good times to a higher level. Sorry I am unable to make the journey home, but instead of a candle, there will be a bonfire lite for him tonight on the east coast. Sincerely, Paul Wehrle

My sincere condolences to the Toland family. John was a great mentor, friend and fatherly figure to so many of us in the Walgreen family. He was always smiling, even in the most stressful of times. His laughter and bright smile were contagious. I am grateful to have known him, worked with him and been a part of his walgreen family. We will miss that light of yours JT.

We offer our heartfelt condolences to the Toland family. John will be remembered fondly, as a most dear, kind man. May his goodness live on in all who loved him, and let his memory bring smiles. Picture Barney tapping that foot (hard!) to his accordian, and John standing, arms crossed, leaning against the kitchen counter, listening, with his quiet smile. Lucky, we were, to have him in our lives at all.

I was deeply saddened to hear the news of John's passing. I have so many wonderful memories of all the fun we all had together-so many years ago. In your pain and sorrow remember that he was a great man, respected and loved by all that were blessed to know him. "It is not how long a man lives, but how deep that life is." My heartfelt condolences to the entire Toland Family.

Sincerest condolences to the full Toland family. I enjoyed working with John for many years at Walgreens. He always shared a positive outlook, always knew a way to "get it done", and never (openly) complained about the demands of a fast paced corporate campus. John set an example we'd all do well to follow.
