Jeff, not only were you a mentor to me when I first started in safety, you were a very good friend that I looked up to in all aspects of life. I truly believe I would not be where I am at in life if I had not met you. Thank you for always caring and never letting me fail. You will truly be missed.

To the Sapinski family, I’m very sorry for your loss. No matter how much time passes, we still feel the loss of our loved ones. May you find comfort and hope in God’s promise at Revelation 21:3,4 that shows soon there will be no more death, sickness, or pain, and we can see our lost loved ones again. Please accept my deepest condolences.

My deepest sympathy and condolences to Jeff Sapinski’s family. I worked with Jeff since I was hired by the CTA in January 2002 and learned a great deal from Jeff. Jeff loved working at the CTA and worked hard to increase safety for everyone at or associated with the CTA. I miss Jeff. Rest in peace Jeff. I’m certain they will need safety first were you are!

Please accept our condolences to the Sapinski family. Jeff was always a good and positive force in our lives. Starting from Rich’s time with Jeff on the track team at RB through the formation of the softball teams and founding of Sanctuary Ski Club where we ultimately met and subsequently married. Ski trips, camping, softball, golfing, football pool we’re just a small part of our enjoyed lives together with Jeff. There was no truer or better friend than Jeff. His loss will leave a void in our lives that can never be filled. God Bless Him.

As a fraternity brother of Jeff (Beav, as we knew him), I offer all his family my deepest regrets to Jeff's passing. Jeff was one who relished life and seemed to put all the fun into everything he tried. He would wear his emotions on his sleeve and even in a Packer infested State as WI, loved the Bears and Blackhawks. Many an evening down at one of the bars was spent playing pinball or enjoying everyone's company. I'm sure he's in Heaven talking sports and seeing what kind of mischief he could get into. My prayers and thoughts go out to you all.

Safe, laughter and fun was Jeff’s way of life while always dropping golden nuggets. A very strong and positive person even when he had reason not to be. Rest in peace Jeff you will be sorely missed. Hearts will remain tender but forever be grateful for the compassion, love and entertainment you provided just by being you.
