Condolences
I remember Mr. Recht very well from Trinity. I loved your family very much. I found this as I reminisced about my aunt who just passed, Marilyn Schedel Anderson. She loved your family too. God be with you all.

Dear Recht Family, Mr. Recht (as we used to call him), was filled with brightness and enthusiasm for life, when we knew him in Berwyn. Although, we have not seen him for many many years, we still feel that his energy went on to his transitioning over to the other side. All family and friends can continue to feel his presence and love. In Love and Light, Diane Hlosta-Volney Rosemarie Hlosta Marie Frenden

Mary Ann, when we think of you and Don we are forever in our early 20's. Our wedding plans kept Anne & Jake busy and we were so happy. We are so sorry for your loss but thankful that you have the love and support of your family. You and Don have always been a blessing to each other.

I am very saddened to hear of the passing of Dad Recht and my heart, prayers, and love go out to all of you. Growing up down the block from the Recht family, you all not only became friends to our family but became extended family. He always had that light in his eye that showed his appreciation for life and for everyone that crossed his path. He will be missed and will be remembered.

I only knew Don for a short time. I met him playing tennis in New Buffalo during the warmer months two years ago. He left a very good impression on me with his always positive approach to the game and life. I will miss him. My sympathy to the family's loss of a wonderful man.

Having been close friends with Don and Mary Ann for nearly half a century, Jane and I find it difficult to express in words our appreciation of all that Don meant to us and our sense of loss at his passing. The wonderful memories of our times together will hopefully help compensate in part for the light that has gone out in our lives. We grieve together with Mary Ann and the family, and we send our best love and commitment to continue our friendship in the future.

Don fought the good fight, he has finished the race, and kept the faith. He is now in a place with no more suffering, only peace. He was always a kind and respectful man to me, he will be very missed. My love to the family at this sad time.

It is difficult to imagine the world (our world) without Don. He lived life fully and in his own way which should be an inspiration to all of us! He was kind and generous and a wonderful friend. To our dear friend Marianne, our deepest love and sympathy. We can not begin to imagine your sorrow at losing your best friend . We love you and will always always be there for you. Our condolences to your wonderful family as well. Susie and Roy

I remember Mr. Recht as a kind and humorous man. He owned the little news/candy stand we frequented as kids. I also knew his son Don form School Band. Our condolences to the Recht Family.

Dear Maryanne, We were very saddened to hear from David that Donnie has passed away. We are very sorry for you, and we wanted in the manor to send our condolences and share your grief. Our thoughts are with you and the family at this difficult time. We fondly remember the hours we spent together here in Stade. Of the supper together, the (limited) conversation and good wine, we enjoyed the time we got to know you. Dear Maryanne, Guenter and I liked and respected Donnie very much. For the next few days, we wish you strength and confidence and send our love from the bottom of our hearts. Heartfelt hugs from us both, Guenter and Jutta
