Michael J. Kurey, age 99, of La Grange Park. WWII Army Veteran. Beloved husband of the late Anne Helen Kurey, nee Simko; loving father of Michael (Karen) Kurey, Craig (Karen) Kurey and Diane (Larry) Brouk; grandfather of Alexandra (Chris) Murtagh, Rebecca Brouk, Ryan (fiancé Jillian Kosmorsky) Brouk, Sara (Matt) Garner, Samantha Kurey and Lauren Kurey and the late Adam Brouk; great grandfather of Quinn Michael Murtagh and Teagan Alice Garner; dear brother-in-law of Eleanor (the late John) Gerberi, the late John Simko and Anthony (the late Margaret) Simko; uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Visitation Tuesday, February 23, 2021 from 3 P.M. to 8 P.M. and Wednesday, February 24, 2021 from 9 A.M. to 9:30 A.M. at Hitzeman Funeral Home, Ltd., 9445 West 31st Street, Brookfield, IL 60513.
Covid Regulations allow for a maximum of 50 people in the funeral home at a time. Face coverings are required, the lounge facilities are reserved for immediate family only, outside food or beverages are not allowed at this time. All are asked to pay their respects/condolences to Mike and his family and be cognitive of others waiting to do the same.
Funeral Wednesday 9:30 A.M. to Holy Guardian Angels Parish/St. Louise de Marillac Church, La Grange Park. Mass 10 A.M.
All wishing to attend Mass need to register at: hgaparish.org/funerals
100 guests maximum will be allowed to attend Mass. Please pre-register to confirm your attendance. Sign up will close on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at 3 P.M. Walk-ins will be welcome on a space limited basis on that day.
