Obituary
Judy G. Johnson, nee Oesterriech, age 79 of Brookfield. Beloved wife of Daniel Johnson; dear mother of Jennifer (Adam) Reeger; grandmother of Aiden Reeger; sister of Pamela (the late Dennis) Meehan, William (Judi) Oesterriech and Michael (Mary) Oesterriech; sister in law of David Johnson; aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Judy was born on September 7, 1944 to George and LaVelle Oesterriech. As a child, she loved to swim and was an avid roller skater and ice skater, teaching herself how to do tricks. She also loved to draw, often sketching fashion designs and scenes of nature.
Judy had a great love for animals. She enjoyed volunteering at various shelters, adopting four of her last cats. She would take any opportunity to help a stray or injured animal. She loved the Brookfield Zoo and was a lifelong member with her husband. Her favorite animals were the Mexican gray wolves and the Przewalski’s horses, whom she also adopted.
She enjoyed shopping with her friends, watching TV with her loving husband, and spending time with her family, especially her grandson. Judy loved to laugh and always chose to keep things light-hearted.
Judy will always be remembered for her warm smile, kind heart, and empathy towards others. She will forever be loved and missed.
