Joe J Beil

Obituary

Joe J Beil, age 71, of Brookfield, IL, earned his angel’s wings on August 21, 2023. He was born February 5, 1952, to John and Alfreda Beil, nee Rusiniak of Cicero, IL.

Dear brother of Jeanne Valente (former husband Kessinger Valente) and predeceased brother John E Beil Jr (wife, Sharon Beil); niece Gina Valente of Glendale, AZ; nephews Dominic Valente of Plainfield, IL and John E Beil III of Columbia, MO.

Joe was a Design Engineer for Ludwig/Musser. He got to work on musical instruments such as marimbas, vibraphones, xylophones and on Ludwig Drums. He retired early to enjoy life.

Joe was an avid photographer and devoted much of his time and talent for local events, friends, and family members. He had a fascination for astronomy, unexplained UFO sightings, conspiracy theories of all kinds, loved watching all the seasonal sports teams, and had an interest in high performance cars such as a 1968 Chevy Camaro and 1975 Corvette.

Joe loved all the vintage super-heroes from the original Superman with Clark Kent, Lois Lane and Jimmie Olsen. He had an extensive collection of vintage comic books (some that were very rare) that he recently had auctioned off. He loved collecting baseball cards as a young child.

Joe was the true definition of a kindhearted person; he was always there to help others and never expected anything in return. He was in the Men’s Auxiliary of the Joshua Harris VFW Post 2868 in Brookfield and served as a Chaplin for a period of time. He devoted much of his time and photography talent there and became known as “Foto Joe”.

In memory of my brother, small acts of kindness would be greatly appreciated.
