Loving father of Gayle Kummerow, Jody Cote, Terry Kummerow and the late Mark Kummerow; grandfather of Tony Kummerow, Jim Cote III and Eric (Megan) Cote. Visitation Saturday, December 9, 2017 from 2 P.M. to 6 P.M at Hitzeman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 9445 W. 31st Street, Brookfield, IL 60513.  A Service will be held at 4 P.M. immediately followed by Military Honors.     Kummerow family, Sorry for your loss of Jim. You don’t know me but when I was a kid (I’m 80 now) my cousin and I lived on 31st St. in Chicago, right across the street from where Jim flew his model planes. We would go and watch him fly with his friends. They would fly in pairs and try to cut the streamers off the tails of each others planes. In fact we built planes to fly back in the day. No radio control back than, just wire control. Anyway very sorry for your loss.
