James Allen Smith, Sr., age 83, of Plainfield, formerly of Broadview.  Beloved husband of Frances Smith, nee Andrews; loving father of James (Tammie) Smith, Jr., Susan Smith, Scott Smith and the late Pamela Boby; father in law of William Boby;  cherished grandfather of William (Nina) Boby III, Jamie (Marcus Gordon) Boby, Rebecca (Samuel) Carter, Katelyn Smith, Lacey (fiancé Zachary Bright) Smith and Zachary Smith;  proud great grandfather of George Boby, Owen Boby, James Carter, Annalynn Carter and Casey Gordon; fond brother of Robert (Phyllis) Smith and the late Donald (the late Pinky) Smith;  caring uncle of many nieces and nephews.  Jim was a sweet father of many pets throughout  the years.

Visitation Saturday, March 20, 2021 from 9 A.M. to time of Service 11A.M. at Hitzeman Funeral Home Ltd. 9445 West 31st Street, Brookfield.

Covid Regulations allow for a maximum of 50 people in the funeral home at a time. Face coverings are required, the lounge facilities are closed, outside food or beverages are not allowed at this time. All are asked to pay their respects/condolences to Jim and his family, please be cognitive of others waiting to do the same.
