Obituary
Gheorghe (Gelu) Oprean, age 63 of La Grange, formerly of Romania. Beloved and devoted husband of Elena Oprean, nee Iambor; loving father of Oana (Marius) Sandru, cherished and doting grandfather of Vanessa Sandru; caring brother of Dana (Iacob) Vlad; fond brother-in-law of Mihai Iambor, dear son-in law of Aneta Iambor, much loved cousin of Delia Rasinariu, and many other cousins and friends.
Gelu passed away in a tragic car accident while visiting Romania. Arrangements have been made to have him transported home to his final resting place. Gelu leaves behind his heartbroken family. Gelu was extremely loving, caring and devoted; he was the heart of the family. He will be forever remembered, loved and deeply missed.

Visitation (Lying in State) Sunday, October 28, 2018 from 5 P.M. to 10 P.M., with wake service at 7 P.M. at Holy Nativity Romanian Orthodox Church, 5825 N. Mozart Street, Chicago, IL 60659. Funeral on Monday, October 29, 2018 at 10 A.M. at Holy Nativity Romanian Orthodox Church.
Interment Clarendon Hills Cemetery, Darien. Luncheon to follow.
