Shepherd, Korean War Army Veteran, age 88, of Oakbrook Terrace, formerly of Hazel Crest.  Beloved husband of Ellen Shepherd, nee Middleton; loving father of John Shepherd, James (Julia) Shepherd, Michael Shepherd, Jane (the late Steven) Graves, Therese (Jose) Araiza, Margaret Shepherd, Daniel Shepherd, Charles (Ty) Shepherd, Catherine (Missa) Ferrer and Richard Shepherd and the late Mary Shepherd; devoted grandfather of 28; dear great grandfather of 25; brother of Daisy (the late Harold) Gray and the late Mildred (the late George) Mullins; uncle of many nieces and nephews; Charles was preceded in death by his parents Joseph Folk Shepherd and Anna Marie Shepherd, nee Garrett.

Visitation Friday, December 28, 2018 from 3 P.M. to 8 P.M. at Hitzeman Funeral Home, Ltd., 9445 West 31^st Street, Brookfield, IL 60513.

Lying in State Saturday, December 29, 2018 from 10 A.M. to time of Mass 10:30 A.M. at St. Emeric Catholic Church, 4330 180th Street, Country Club Hills.

Interment Good Shepherd Cemetery, Orland Park.
