Boleslaw Ponulak

Boleslaw Ponulak, age 94 of LaGrange Park, formerly of Cicero, passed away at his home on July 21, 2022. Beloved husband of 71 years of Janina Ponulak, nee Kapusta. Loving father to Richard (Beverly) Ponulak and Donna (George) Biernadski; grandfather of Ricky (Angela) Ponulak, Kathryn Ponulak and Nicholas Biernadski; great-grandfather to RJ, Vinny and Leo Ponulak. Brother of Kazimierz (Zofia) Ponulak of Opole, Poland and his late sister, Krystyna Kliszewska (the late Edward).

Born in Pniatyn, Poland on July 26, 1927, he became a war refugee as a child, that would take his journey through Siberia, Uzbekhistan, Egypt, England and ultimately arrived in the Chicagoland Area in 1957. Proud serving member of the Polish Air Force (Lotnictwo) under the British Royal Air Force during World War II, as well as a 33-year member of the United Auto Workers.

Visitation Tuesday, July 26, 2022 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. at Hitzeman Funeral Home, Ltd., 9445 West 31st Street, Brookfield, IL 60513.

Funeral 10:00 A.M. to St. Louise de Marillac Church, Corner of 30th Street & Raymond Street, La Grange Park, IL., Mass 10:30 A.M.

Interment at Resurrection Cemetery, Justice, IL
