Arthur H. Schroeder, Jr., age 88 of Indian Head Park. Beloved husband of the late Melba Schroeder, nee Rudolph; fond father of Kathryn (Anthony) Lazzara, Carolyn (Vernon) Nelson, Margaret Turner, Arthur Schroeder III; grandfather of Sandi (Brian) Schultz, Kristy (Eric) Itzenthaler, Mike Turner, Josh (Leslie) Turner, David (Liz) Turner, Elizabeth (Jeremy) Hahn, Natalie (Mike) Jensen, Bryan (Sarah) Nelson, Christopher Lazzara, Jessica Lazzara; great grandfather of 14; great great grandfather of 2; brother of the late Barbara (the late Robert) Ohlfest, Roger Schroeder, James Schroeder, Carol Bohn; uncle of many nieces and nephews. Art was dedicated to his family, worked for Electromotive as a chemist then branching into his entrepreneurial skills in ownership of Associate General Laboratories, Inc. In his retirement Art was an active lifetime member of the Midwest Historical Research Society.
Visitation Sunday, November 3, 2019 from 2 P.M. to 7 P.M. at Hitzeman Funeral Home, Ltd., 9445 West 31st Street, Brookfield, IL 60513.
Lying in State Monday, November 4, 2019 from 10:30 A.M. to time of Service 11:00 A.M. at St John’s Lutheran Church, La Grange.
Interment St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Hodgkins, IL.
