Lounge Policy

Hitzeman Funeral Home, Ltd. offers a lounge/coffee room area for all families being served. The lounge area

has been designed to offer a short reprieve, to sit down and take a moment for a drink or a bite to eat.

Amenities Offered:

    • Spacious Seating
    • Coffee and Tea
    • Large sink and ample counter space
    • Full size refrigerator
      Children’s Room offering movies, seating, games and books
    • Monitor featuring your loved one’s slide show (if more than one family, slide show will not be aired in the lounge-lounge will be shared)

House Policy:

  • We ask that all food and beverages (Including Coffee, Tea and Soft drinks/Juices) stay in the lounge/coffee room. Bottled water is the only acceptable beverage allowed in the chapels.
  • No outside Alcoholic beverages are permitted into the building.
  • No tail-gating is permitted on premises (Parking lot and/or public access in or/out, on street or sidewalks surrounding said premises) Violators are subject to arrest and fines.
  • If Adult Beverage Package is selected.
  • It is understood that all patrons will be asked to provide State ID or Drivers License for proof of age.
  • We have a beautiful atmosphere for friends and family to gather and we take pride in our building, it’s surroundings and reputation. We will not tolerate any actions that may harm our guests, building or staff. Any such behavior will result in the closing of the beverage cart. The person(s) will be removed, and any violators will be subject to arrest, fines and will be responsible for any /all damages.
  • Packages include a certain number of beverages. Please note: if the number of drinks are not consumed, there will be no refunds nor will the left over products be given to family upon departure (no take-outs or to go containers).
  • If Beverage Package is chosen the Bar will Close at 7:30 P.M.
  • If Catering Package is purchased through Hitzeman Funeral Home: Plates, Utensils, and condiments are supplied.
  • The Lounge is closed at 8 P.M. At that time all leftover food will be gathered and placed to the side for families to retrieve and remove upon exit. If food is not taken, it will be discarded.
  • No catered food that uses sterno, hot plates nor crock pots are allowed on premises.Sandwich, fruit or dessert trays are acceptable (Funeral Home staff can assist with checking your items) Finger foods are highly recommended. Utensils and paper plates are not supplied
  • If you care to bring in soft drinks, juice boxes or water, you may utilize the refrigerator to keep cool (only water is acceptable outside of lounge).
  • Napkins, Styrofoam cups for Coffee and Tea are supplied.
  • Coolers or ICE are not allowed to stay in the coffee room/lounge area. (For patron’s safety, we ask that all coolers be emptied and taken back to your vehicle, this avoids slipping and trip hazards)
  • If you care for more Coffee you may contact us in the office and we will be happy to accommodate your wishes.
  • Children under 14 are to be accompanied by an adult at all times.
