  9. Myra flynn condolence:

I was fortunate to meet Sue and Alec at the wedding of Alec’s son Adam to my niece Laura held late December in Sussex, England. I spent time chatting to Sue and enjoying her delightful company and finding we had much in common. We had both travelled long distances to attend the wedding, myself from Australia, Sue from the US, but it seemed like we had been friends for years she was so easy to talk to. To Alec and all of Sue’s family my sincere sympathies.

    Jill, Josh and Alec,

I don’t even know what to say to all of you. We are all SO shocked and very sad….we suffered a great loss. Your mom/wife was so amazing. I will never forget the day we met at the Levee Restaurant and how our friendship continued with your visits to Portage. I think she got a kick out of the nickname we gave her (crazy lady)and it was only because you were ALWAYS guaranteed a good belly laugh when she was around. I have fantastic memories…..I will never forget. Thank you for sharing her with us, our lives have been blessed because of it. I wish I could be there to hug each one of you just to feel close to her again….rest peacefully crazy lady.

Much love and Prayers to all of you,
Matt, Jodi, Gunnar and Cooper Roberts

  14. Susan Martin condolence:

I was so saddened to learn of Susan’s death, because the community ( I am speaking of Portage and Columbia County, WI) has lost a valuable resource. I was so excited and pleased when she filed her papers to run for the County Board of Supervisors. She would have been a wonderful leader for our county. Susan was articulate, energetic, thoughtful, smart and delightful woman. She will be missed, and I grieve with you.
