Rosemary M. Moran (nee McLaughlin), late of Tinley Park and formerly of Riverdale, IL. Preceded in death by her loving husband John and daughter Geralyn. Beloved mother of Mary Jo Moran, Patric (Beverly) Moran, Kathryn and Kathleen Moran, Rosemary (Norbert) Vorst, Jeanine (Michael) Flick, Virginia (Kenneth) Brach, and Andrea (Harry) Hills. Proud grandmother of James, Barbara, Julie, Brian, Jenny, Kyle, Connor, Jenna, Justin, Stephen, Michael, Elyse and great grandmother of Liam and Colin and numerous nieces and nephews.

Rosemary was an avid reader of historical fiction and worked at the Dolton Library until she was 84. Once she retired, she made it her business to write notes to all of the shut-ins she knew which kept the postman busy. She was very involved and interested in the activities and travels of her children and grandchildren. She kept track of them via Facebook. She was a great Maj Jong player and could have competed in tournaments. Her interests were diverse…from tennis and Serena Williams to Animal Planet, Dancing with the Stars and Ninja Warriors. She also eagerly looked forward to the yearly running of the Derby where she placed winning bets almost every year. She was an extremely strong woman and a woman of great faith who set a very high bar for her children to meet. Angels and fairies were her friends. She faced health challenges with courage, grace, and trust in God and was ever gracious to her nurses and caregivers. She was greatly loved by all those who knew her and whose lives she touched. She died peacefully.

Condolences for the family of “Rosemary M. Moran”

Condolence from Martha Bonvillain on July 28th, 2018 9:28 am

Only I met Rosemary Moran once at her daughter Jeanine’s home in Ft. Wright, Ky. She was such a warm and friendly person, and she must have been one good mother to raise such bright, brave and clever daughters as Jeanine and Mary Jo. Although I have never met the rest of her children. I am certain that the same was true of all her children and that she will be missed by all those who knew her and loved her. With Sympathy, Martha Bonvillain

Rosemary welcomed us caregivers at Beechwood Manor as part of her family. She was forever thanking us for each visit made. She actually has a picture board of us her extended family in her apartment. I am thankful I was touched by her and her supportive family.
Heaven gained another Angel. ❤
