Ronald Mihalcean, Sr., age 87, of Downers Grove. Beloved father of Phyllis (Mark) Trice, Ronald (Lori) Mihalcean, II and Karan (Tony Latz) Patterson; step father of Linda (Cliff) Carlson, Jack Mihalcean and the late Maryrose Schultz and Bernard Mihalcean; loving grandfather of Jessica Trice, Andrea (Matthew) Wallace, Jacob Trice, Emily (Ryan) Bentley, Carolyn Mihalcean, Melissa Poulos, Mason Kehoe, Ryan Patterson and James Patterson, Aaron Patterson and Jonathon Patterson; step grandfather and great grandfather of many; dear brother of Shirley “Buzzy” (the late Andy) Wagendorf, Phyllis Giles, the late Anna Mae (the late Carl, Sr.) Saks; uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Ron was a second father to me growing up.Every summer he would drive back to Lisle to pick me up allowing to spend time with my best friend of 50 years Ron II. For that I am forever grateful. Thank you for all the memories Hawk you will be missed. You left us with many larger than life stories.

My heart goes out to the family! Longevity is certainly a blessing, and death at any age is too soon. God shares our pain and views death as an enemy! (1 Corinthians 15:26) God will soon eliminate this enemy, and no one will have to deal with the pain it brings. May this hope bring the family comfort during this difficult time.
