Zianna Pompei, nee Jopa, age 94 of La Grange Park. Beloved wife of the late Alfred A. Pompei Sr.; loving mother of Alfred A. (the late Diane) Pompei and Barbara P. (Richard) Boland; dear grandmother of Andrew Beckert, Jesse (Adriana) Pompei, Brandon Howell, Jozi (Justin) Suhanovsky, Magdalena Boland, Alfred Pompei, III, Annelise Boland, Francis Pompei; great-grandmother of Page Beckert, Phaedra Beckert, Zianna Beckert, Kincaid Beckert, Serena Pompei, Jolene Suhanovsky, Jace Suhanovsky and Anna Pompei; sister of the late Mitchel (Marilyn) Jopa, Della (Edward) Walsh and Jeanette Hansen; aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Visitation Wednesday, December 4, 2024 from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and Thursday, December 5, 2024 from 9:45 A.M. to 10:15 A.M. at Hitzeman Funeral Home Ltd. 9445 31st Street, Brookfield, IL 60513. Funeral 10:15 A.M. to St. Cletus Church, 600 W. 55th Street, La Grange, IL 60525. Mass 11:00 A.M.

Zianna lived in La Grange Park for over 60 years, where she ran a business with her husband Alfred, A. Pompei Builders, custom homes and apartments. She was an avid bowler, sports fan, and wheel of fortune watcher.  Her passion was collecting Hummels with her husband and enjoyed being with all the wonderful friends she made with the M.I. Hummel Club. She was one of the first members of the La Grange Park chapter that met monthly for 40+ years.

Special thanks to Jane Osae; her devoted loving caregiver and friend, who was by her side daily for two and a half years. She is our angel.
