Zdenek "Sid" Bartos, age 85 of Hinsdale, formerly of Cicero. U.S. Army Veteran. Beloved husband of Daniela "Dana" Bartos, nee Kotyk; devoted father of Omar "Brad" (Ramona) Bartos, Roger (Brooke) Bartos; loving grandfather of Avery Bartos; and all of his relatives in the Czech Republic. He didn't die, but is peacefully resting after a lifetime of hard work. His burning candle of love and support will remain with us forever. Sweet dreams, Zdeno! He was very proud to be an American and was a patriot. He fled communist Czechoslovakia in the dark days of the Cold War in the early 1950's. He truly understood and appreciated what freedom really meant.
