William J. Lange

William J. Lange, age 94, of La Grange Park, formerly of La Grange. U.S. Coast Guard, W.W.II Veteran, William Joseph Lange was called home and reunited with his beloved family, loving parents Catherine Lange, nee Rooney, and William Lange; brother of the late Tom Lange, Jim Lange, Ken Lange, Don Lange and Marguerite Clarckson. William was born in the front room of his La Grange home July 21, 1914 and remained in the area his entire life. He performed in Vaudeville with his brothers, served with the La Grange Police Department alongside his father, joined the Coast Guard in W.W.II, later was employed and retired from Electra Motive; loved to coach swimming at the Y.M.C.A. William had a love of life that kept him young, a great sense of humor, a huge giving heart and a deep faith. He was a model of love, charity, caring for others and was a good friend to many people. William was greatly devoted to his family and was a loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. His role was head of the Lange clan, being the keeper of family stories and always the advisor. He was loved deeply and will be missed immensely as he was a true blessing to this family. Visitation celebrating his life will be held Sunday, October 12, 2008 from 3 P.M. to 7 P.M. and Monday, October 13, 2008 10:30 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at Hitzeman Funeral Home, Ltd. 9445 W. 31st Street, Brookfield.
