Violet C. Behnke, nee Sarson, age 95 of St. Charles formerly of LaGrange Park. Beloved wife of the late Richard Herman Behnke; fond mother of Richard (Nancy) Behnke and Eileen (James) Ellison; dear grandmother of Alan (Debbie) Behnke, Laura (Christopher) Gladkowski, Christopher (Jennifer) Behnke, Suzie Ellison, Karen Behnke and Sally (Robert) Montes; great grandmother of Allison Gladkowski, Catherine Gladkowski, Jacob Behnke, Brandon Behnke, Karly Behnke, Katelyn Behnke, Gabby Montes and Natalie Montes; sister of the late Carol Walton. Visitation, Wednesday, January 11, 2017, 3 P.M. to 8 P.M. and Thursday, January 12, 2017 from 10:30 A.M. to Time of Service 11 A.M. at Hitzeman Funeral Home Ltd. 9445 West 31st Street, Brookfield, IL 60513. Interment Clarendon Hills Cemetery. Violet was an avid ballroom dancer who enjoyed weekly dancing at the Willowbrook ballroom. She was a long time member of the St. Michael's Lutheran Church Woman's Club, in LaGrange Park, the LaGrange Park Women's Club, the Celiac Sprue Foundation, and St. Michael's Lutheran Church Quilting Group. Violet is now joined with her husband (Richard), who was a decorated (Bronze Star) WWII Veteran serving in Northern France, the Rhineland and Central Europe during the war, we are sure she is dancing with him again.
