Ted Cunningham

Listen to Obituary

Ted Cunningham, a longtime resident of Chicago and Homewood until moving to Brookfield four years ago, passed last month just a few days after his 81st birthday.  He was our father, but you might have known him as "the storyteller".  He was an avid storyteller with the Heartland Story League who carried his craft with a passion into local schools and even to prison inmates. Or perhaps you knew him through his involvement with the Beverly Theater Guild over the years, or as a tutor with Prairie State College, or through his employment with Takata Industries until his retirement years ago. However you knew of our father, I'm sure you were deeply touched by his kindness and calming presence.   We invite you to join us in a celebration of his life on Saturday, Nov 16, 2013, at the beautiful Theosophical Society National Center , 1926 N. Main Street, Wheaton IL 60187, at 3:00 P.M.   We will gather in the auditorium for a heartfelt memorial of his life and then reconvene to share good food and stories of Ted – our dads' life.  Steve, Dan and Tim. Arrangements by Hitzeman Funeral Home Ltd., 9445 West 31 st Street, Brookfield, IL 60513. Information 708-485-2000 or www.HitzemanFuneral.com
