Robert M. Grimes

Robert M. Grimes, age 87, of Clarendon Hills formerly of Brookfield. Born in Ft. Dodge, IA; attended LaVergne Grammar School, Morton High School and Morton Jr. College. Predeceased by his wife Blanche Grimes, nee Bolek; his mother Lois Kolbrek, nee Jensen, his father Edward Grimes who died in a Prisoner of War Camp in WWII and his brother Jack who was killed in WWII. Bob is survived by his daughters Cheryl (Greg) Feltz, Kathleen (David) Dvorak, Connie Vizek, Barbara DiMonte; 11 grandchildren: Nicole Stevens, Laura Lawrence, Jeffrey and Scott Dvorak, Ashley, Ryan, Tyler and Jacob Vizek, Theresa, Julia and Victoria DiMonte; great grandchildren: Jack and Natalie Stevens; Landon and Madelyn Lawrence, Justin and Jeremy Dvorak; brother-in-law of the late Charles Bolek and Joseph (Gloria) Bolek; uncle of Vince and Barry Bolek. Visitation Friday, September 29, 2017 from 9 A.M. to time of Service 11 A.M. at Hitzeman Funeral Home, Ltd. 9445 W. 31st Street, Brookfield, IL 60513. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery. Bob was an avid walker and gardener; he loved to play golf and bridge. He was employed as a specialty paper salesman for over 45 years.
