Patrick Shanahan, age 85 of Westchester, native of Croom Co, Limerick. Beloved husband of Maureen, nee Fitzpatrick, loving father of Christopher (Mary Ellen) and Dennis; grandfather of James and Michael; brother of Helen (Thomas) Tully, Elizabeth "Betty" (Richard) Archer, Denis, Maura (Charles O'Toole), Katherine "Kay" (the late George) Dillon, Cornelius (Betty), Anne Ryle; uncle of many nieces and nephews. Patrick was preceded in death by his parents Timothy and Kathleen, nee O'Keeffe; his brother Donal, Sean (the late Bridget), Timothy and Liam. Paddy is a retired member of the Carpenters Union Local 1 and member of the Limerick Hurling Club and Gaelic Park.
Visitation Sunday, December 27, 2020 from 3 P.M. to 7 P.M. at Hitzeman Funeral Home, Ltd., 9445 W. 31st Street Brookfield, IL 60513. Funeral Monday, December 28, 2020 at St. Francis Xavier Church, 124 N. Spring Avenue, La Grange IL. Mass 10 A.M.
Due to Covid Regulations a maximum of 10 people are allowed in funeral home at a time. Face Coverings are required, no food or beverages are allowed. All are asked to pay their respects/condolences and be cognitive of all others waiting to do the same.
