Condolences

Gosh I will miss seeing Mike and Marylin at Lake Ripley (I’m Maggie Zorn’s mother). Mike was such a warm and caring soul with his fun sense of humor, he brightened the room. The world need more people like Mike!

I have known Mike for professionally for 30+ years, but got close to him over the last nine years serving together on a corporate board. Mike was the consummate professional. Very knowledgeable about financial numbers, but always mindful of the people working behind the numbers. Mike was a true gentleman and a pleasure to work with. Mike not only brought knowledge and experience to solve any problem, but did so in an upbeat and positive way. His counsel will be sorely missed. Our deepest condolences to Marilyn, Mike’s daughters and the rest of his family. We will keep you all in our thoughts and prayers.

I met Mike as a freshman at LT's south campus. Mike's birthday, early in the year, made him one of my first friends to get a driver's license to drive his 56' black Ford convertible. I left the Chicago area in 1971, but kept in contact with him via email and LT reunions over the years. Despite limited contact with him over the past decade, I will miss him. My deepest condolences to his siblings, children grandchildren and the citizens of LaGrange Park.

Mike was a very dedicated and principled person. He was a great father and husband as well. Mike, Marilyn, the Hurleys and Brunettes were the mainstays in the Pinwhackers Bowling League for several years, and a great time was had by all. Mike loved his family, working with numbers and the Village of LaGrange Park as well. Our thoughts and prayers go out to those he left behind. He will be missed.
