Mary Margaret Martens

Long time Brookfield resident, Mary Margaret Martens, 75, passed away April 25, 2007 in her home. Over the years, Mary was an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW, the Brookfield Newcomers Club, the Brookfield Alumnae Club and swam weekly with the seniors' group at the local YMCA. She owned and operated a local real estate business for many years. Mary was an avid card player and enjoyed classic Big Band music. She spent much of her time with family and was a dear friend to many. Visitation will be held Friday, April 27, 2007 from 4 P.M. to 8 P.M. and Saturday, April 28, 2007, 9 A.M. to 9:30 A.M. at Hitzeman Funeral Home, Ltd., 9445 W. 31st Street, Brookfield. Funeral Saturday 9:30 A.M. to St. Barbara Catholic Church, Funeral Mass 10 AM, She will be laid to rest at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside. Mary was the beloved mother of Debra (Dave) Thompson, PhD., Cynthia (Glenn) Langeland, Donna (Greg) Moore, Lauren (Joseph) Kohley and the late Craig Schroeder.
