Mary Lou Hurley, nee Callaghan, age 75, of La Grange Park. Beloved wife of Thomas Hurley; loving mother of W. Peter (Staci) Hurley, Paul Hurley, and Patrick Hurley; dear grandmother of Spencer, Kelsey, Mackenzie, Brice, Adelyn, and Delaney; daughter of the late Francis and Louise Callaghan; sister of Michael (Sally) Callaghan, Jean (John) McQuillan, Beth (Mike) Puntini, Matthew (Helen) Callaghan, the late Stephen Callaghan and of the late Mark Callaghan; sister-in-law of Sara and Jim (Melinda); awesome aunt of Kevin (Nina), Amy (Josh), Molly (Rob), Johnny (Lelia), Christopher (Diana), Gina (Patrick), Matthew (Lexi), Annie (Luke), Andrew, Katie (Bryan), Erin, Mikey, Bridget, William and Ellen; great aunt of Brayden, Lilly, Francis, Nolan, Kathryn, Abby and John Henry.

Mary Lou loved spending time with her family, was an avid traveler to National Parks, and loved knitting and sipping her tea.

Mary Lou also gave her time and talent to the La Grange Park Library as a Trustee for 32 years, devoted member of the Brookfield-La Grange Park Lions Club; a proud member of Friends of the La Grange Park Library and the La Grange Historical Society.

Visitation, Wednesday, March 5, 2025 from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and Thursday, March 6, 2025 from 8:45 A.M. to 9:15 A.M. at Hitzeman Funeral Home, Ltd., 9445 31st Street, Brookfield, IL 60513. Funeral Thursday, 9:15 A.M. to St. Cletus Church, La Grange. Mass 10:00 A.M.

Brookfield-La Grange Park Lions Club will be hosting a Lions Service of Remembrance on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at 6:00 P.M.
