Marilyn Elizabeth Volek, nee Sauper, born April 29, 1922 in Chicago, Illinois, daughter of Martha and Frank Sauper died peacefully November 25, 2018. Loving mother of Paul (Lorraine) and Marian; grandmother of Allison Volek-Shelton; great grandmother of Faye. She was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Frank Volek, in 2002. Marilyn enjoyed playing the piano, sewing and gardening. She especially enjoyed her position as a volunteer docent for 30 years at the Brookfield Zoo. Memorials in her name may be made to The Brookfield Zoo , 3300 Golf Road, Brookfield, IL 60513.
