Marc Supinger

Marc Supinger, age 45, of Brookfield, formerly of Gaylord, MI. Loving son of Ron and Donna Supinger of Lake Lure, N.C.; grandson of Trudi Parker of Baldwin Park, CA.; brother to Kevin (Wendy) Supinger of Georgetown, CA. and Kurt (Lorinda) Supinger of Murietta, CA.; dear friend of Mary Ann Morgan of Brookfield. A memorial service will be held at the Riverside Presbyterian Church, 116 Barrypoint Rd. Riverside, IL 60546 on Thursday June 2, 2005 at 4:30 P.M. Marc loved people and his positive up-beat approach to life, endeared him to co-workers, clients and friends. He enjoyed golfing, cooking and gardening. Marc was a senior associate at Knight Engineers Planners & Architects, prior to joining DLK Civic Design. At DLK, he was an outstanding leader in the integration of architecture and engineering for innovative solutions in transportation and public buildings. Marc joined DLK Civic Design in 2002 as Director of Architecture, became a Principal of the firm in January, 2005, and was a talented mentor to a studio of young professionals. His recent projects include a new corporate addition to the Ball Horticultural headquarters in West Chicago, planning of the West Loop Transportation Center, planning for the CTA O'Hare and Midway Express station from Block 37 and currently, architecture, landscape, and singage design guidelines, as well as the open road tolling program for the Illinois State Toll Highway Authority. Marc was heavily involved in energy conservation and sustainable building design, bringing to these concepts his vision for a comprehensive regional transportation network.
