Lydia Farrell, born Kengris of Brookfield. Loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully with family at her side on Friday, August 5, 2016 at the age of 73. Lydia is survived by her husband of 52 years, Leonard Farrell; her son Len Farrell, son Richard Farrell and daughter Laura Kizman, along with 8 beautiful grandchildren; Madison, Sean, Jack, Ava, Mia, Ella, Hanna and Evan. Lydia will be remembered by her absolute devotion to raising her 3 children and the unconditional love she gave to everyone in her life, friends, family and people she touched in her community. She often volunteered her time to help the homeless at the nearby homeless shelter. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 8, 2016, 3 P.M. to 8 P.M. and Tuesday, August 9, 2016, 9 A.M. to 9:30 A.M. at Hitzeman Funeral Home Ltd. 9445 West 31st Street, Brookfield, IL 60513.
