Lawrence Joseph Silski, 82, of Brookfield, Korean War, Army Veteran. Died peacefully January 9, 2014 at Loyola Hospital in Maywood after a courageous, three week battle against a pulmonary aneurysm. Predeceased by his parents, Joseph Silski of Chicago and Frances Bednarek of Manistee, Michigan; adored younger brother of Isabel Neuert of Wheaton; beloved husband of Helga Doerfeld and father of Andrew Lawrence Silski and Margaret Isabel Kehrees; proud grandfather of Matthew Silski, Rebekah Silski, Daniel Silski, Catherine Silski, Michael Silski, Sarah Silski, Peter Silski, Johanna Isabella Silski, Paul Bradley, Jason Bradley, Brian Bradley, Andrea (James Jr.) Mierop, Andrew Kehrees and Nick Kehrees. Endeared great-grandfather of Joseph Silski and Jimmy Mierop III. Visitation Monday, January 13, 2014 from 7 P.M. to 9 P.M. at Hitzeman Funeral Home, Ltd., 9445 West 31st Street, Brookfield. Will lie In State Tuesday, January 14, 2014, from 10 A.M. to time of Service 11 A.M. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on 1550 Haase Avenue, Westchester.
