Karen Azzarello

Karen Azzarello, nee Ricker, age 80, of La Grange Park. Beloved wife of Terry Azzarello; loving mother of Bryan Azzarello, Stacey Azzarello Knickrehm and Todd Azzarello; mother in law of Lyle Knickrehm; loving grandmother of Jonathan (Nattali) Azzarello, Anthony Azzarello, Nichole Azzarello, Jeremy (Caleigh Tennyson) Knickrehm, Austin (Megan Proctor) Knickrehm, Connor (Adrien Enoch) Knickrehm and Hailey Knickrehm; great grandmother of Aria, Renzo and Vincent; sister of Kenneth (the late Cheri) Ricker and the late Anton (Pat) Ricker; aunt of Aimee, Jimmy, Marc(Melissa) and Jeffery.

Karen met her husband Terry of 59 years while working at Western Electric. After raising her family she was loved by hundreds of students in the Forest Road community as she was the before and after school BASE Manager for over 28 years.

Visitation Friday, October 2, 2026 from, 2 P.M. to 8 P.M. and Saturday, October 3, 2026 from 10:30 A.M. to time of Service 11 A.M. at Hitzeman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 9445 31st Street, Brookfield, IL 60513.

Interment Private Glen Oaks, Hillside.
