June Setton, nee Eggert, age 92 of Brookfield. Beloved wife of Henry Setton; loving mother of Joyce (Thomas) Hein, Gayle (Clarence Carlson) Sheets and the late Sandra Setton; dear grandmother of Kristen (Keith) Forrest, Mark (Kristina) Hein, Meggen Overholt, Susan (William) Serre, Samuel Overholt, Elizabeth (Derek) Jost; great grandmother of 14; sister of the late Dolores Mann; longtime family friend Robert Isacson. June Will Lie in State Saturday, December 2, 2017 from 9 A.M. to time of Service 11 A.M. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 9035 Grant Avenue, Brookfield IL 60513. Interment Bethania Cemetery. June Eggert was born in Chicago on January 5, 1925. She married her high school sweetheart, Henry, on November 26, 1943, while he was serving in the Navy during WWII. After the war ended, she worked the counter in their Radio Store while he fixed TVs and radios and studied for his college degree. After starting their family, they moved to Brookfield. June managed the household and supported and encouraged her husband in his career as a professor at the University of Illinois in Chicago. She was a gracious hostess as well as mother to three girls. At St. Paul Lutheran Church, she taught Sunday School, supported St. Paul's day school, and was a favorite of many children until her surgery on November 13. We praise her for her steadfastness and strong faith in her Savior Jesus Christ. Memorials appreciated to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
