Josephine Baker, nee Bussema, age 85 of North Riverside, lifelong resident of the Riverside area. Beloved wife of Walter Baker for 62 years; loving mother of Nancy (Robert) Osbrink and Henry (Joanne) Baker; dear grandmother to Claire and Russell Baker and Ruth Osbrink; sister to the late Fred (Bernice) Bussema and the late Harriet (Carl) Dinges. Visitation Friday, August 14, 2009 from 11 A.M. to time of Service 12 Noon at Hitzeman Funeral Home, Ltd. 9445 W. 31st Street, Brookfield. Interment Private, Chapel Hill Gardens West Cemetery. Josephine lived a full life while enjoying family and friends. She loved to travel; by car, train or plane, from coast to coast, often with the Ascension Leisure Group to Elder Hostels. When Josephine was not spending time with family, friends or traveling; she volunteered at many places such as Resthaven, Ascension Church, choir, Women's Guild and the Komarek School.
