Beloved husband of Eleanor Byrne, nee Engle; loving father of Carey (Ernest Newmann) Byrne and the late Eric Byrne; grandfather of Andrew Newmann and Sarah Newmann; brother of the late Jack Byrne; uncle of Daniel, Timothy and Kivi; cousin to many.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, October 6, 2021 from 1 P.M. to time of Service 3 P.M. at Hitzeman Funeral Home, Ltd., 9445 W. 31 st Street, Brookfield, IL 60513
A viewing will take place on Saturday, October 9, 2021 from 9 A.M. to 11 A.M. at Heafey Hoffmann Dworak Cutler Mortuaries, 7805 W Center Rd, Omaha, NE 68124. A graveside service and burial will immediately follow at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery, Omaha, NE.
