John C. Mateja, age 94, WWII Army Veteran, of North Riverside formerly of Berwyn and Chicago. Beloved husband of the late Daisy Mateja, nee Crbut. Loving father of Phyllis Meisner, John (Josephine) Mateja, Daniel (Sandy) Mateja, Gail Mateja, Linda Fonte, Kenneth (Sue) Mateja, William (Maria) Mateja, Laurie Mateja and the late James Mateja; grandfather of 20; great grandfather of 28, great great grandfather of 2; uncle of many nieces and nephews. Visitation Sunday, February 17, 2013 from 2 P.M. to 9 P.M. and Monday, February 18, 2013 from 9 A.M. to 9:30 A.M. at Hitzeman Funeral Home, Ltd. 9445 W. 31st Street, Brookfield.
