Irene Roman

Irene Roman, age 67, of Wood Dale. passed away peacefully. Beloved daughter of the late John Nowak and the late Adela Nowak, nee Tukendorf; dear cousin of Henry Sylwestrzak; chersied longtime friend of Mercy Brown and Christine Ficarelli; devoted godmother of Crystal Keelan, Jasmine Ficarelli, Kyla Macam and Antoinette Ficarelli. 

Irene dedicated more than 40 years of service to Wirtz Insurance Agency in Chicago, where she served as an Executive Assistant. Licensed in all lines of insurance in the State of Illinois, she was admired for her professionalism, dedication, and exceptional work ethic. She took great pride in her career and the lasting relationships she built with colleagues and clients over the years.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2026 10:00 AM at St. Francis Xavier Church, 124 N. Spring Ave, LaGrange, IL 60525. 

Interment St. Adalbert Cemetery, Niles.
